Send Your Runs to Strava
Connect Strava once and every session you finish in Just5K shows up there on its own, with the route.
What It Does
Connect Strava once, and every session you finish in the Just5K run player goes to your Strava account on its own. No share button, nothing to remember.
Each session arrives with:
- a name like Just5K · Week 3, session 2;
- when it started, how long it took and how far you went;
- your route on the map, if location was on;
- the type: a run, or a walk for walk-only sessions such as the first weeks of Gentle Start.
Who can see it follows your own Strava privacy settings.
How to Connect
- Open your profile (the round button next to the tabs).
- Tap Connect Strava.
- Sign in to Strava and tap Authorize. Keep the box for uploading activities ticked: that's the one thing Just5K asks for.
The profile then shows Connected as and your first name.
Just5K can only upload. It can't read your Strava activities, your profile or who you follow.
After a Session
The summary screen says what happened: Sent to Strava, or, if you're offline, that it goes as soon as you're online. The session waits on your iPhone and goes up the next time you open the app.
Short sessions go too. They're real activity, even when they don't tick off the plan.
Turn It Off
- Pause uploads. Turn off the Strava switch in your profile. You stay connected, and sessions stop going to Strava until you turn it back on.
- Disconnect. Tap Disconnect Strava in your profile. Just5K removes its access on Strava and forgets your sign-in. Sessions already on Strava stay there; delete them in Strava if you want them gone.
- From Strava's side. On strava.com, go to Settings, then My Apps, and revoke Just5K. The app notices and shows Connect Strava again.
Your Data
Sessions go straight from your iPhone to Strava. just5k.com only helps with signing in: it swaps Strava's one-time code for access and keeps nothing. Nothing from Apple Health goes to Strava. More in our privacy policy.
Tip: Recording your runs on a watch with another app that already posts to Strava? Leave the switch off, or you'll see each run twice.
